DAY 1: DEPARTURE - GALICIA
Departure from the designated pickup points en route to Galicia. Short stops along the way (lunch at the customer’s expense). Arrival at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 2: VIVEIRO – LOIBA CLIFFS – ESTACA DE BARES
Breakfast, followed by a trip to Viveiro, the main city of the Mariña Lucense region—a charming destination that combines history, nature, and culture in a stunning setting. The town stands out for its beautiful historic center with its lively squares that reflect its medieval and seafaring history, its idyllic beaches, and its cultural heritage. Among its main monuments are the Church of San Francisco, the Church of Santa María do Campo, and the Convent of the Conceptionists, which, in addition to its historical value, features a replica of the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. We will also visit the remains of the ancient Wall of Viveiro, which defended the city in medieval times, highlighting the Puerta de la Villa, which served as the main entrance and retains its original structure; the Puerta de Carlos V; and the Puerta del Castillo, which offers panoramic views and an air of history and legend. Free time for lunch (at the guest’s expense). In the afternoon, visit the Loiba Cliffs, one of the most impressive and photogenic landscapes in the region. This spectacular spot combines the power of the Atlantic Ocean with dizzying rock formations, creating a scene of wild and unique beauty. We will continue to Estaca de Bares, known for being the northernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula and for its importance as a stopover for migratory birds. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 3: OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO THE ORTEGAL REGION - CEDEIRA - ORTIGUEIRA
Half-board accommodation with the option of a full-day excursion to the Ortegal region, including lunch at a restaurant. Breakfast and departure for Cedeira, considered one of the main tourist destinations in northern Galicia. Panoramic tour of the Condomiñas neighborhood, with its modernist architecture, and the fishing port, where the Castillo de la Concepción stands out at the mouth of the estuary, offering breathtaking views and a glimpse into the region’s defensive history. Crossing the Sierra de A Capelada, we’ll arrive in San Andrés de Teixido, where tradition holds that everyone must visit at least once in their lifetime—or else they’ll be reborn as an animal in the afterlife. This picturesque town nestled between the mountains and the sea is home to a 14th-century sanctuary and its Miraculous Fountain. Next, to conclude the excursion, we’ll head to Cape Ortegal, which will dazzle us with its breathtaking views. On the way back to the hotel, we’ll stop in O Vicedo, with the option to walk along the wooden boardwalk leading to Fuciño do Porco; this spectacular spot offers beautiful panoramic views of the Cantabrian Sea. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: RIBADEO – PLAYA DE LAS CATEDRALES – MONDOÑEDO
Breakfast, then departure for Ribadeo, a stately town and the gateway to Galicia, where the Pancha Island Lighthouse at the mouth of the estuary and the ruins of San Damián Castle stand out. We’ll have the chance to enjoy its lively streets and the breathtaking view of the Eo Estuary from the Mirador do Porto lookout point. Next, we’ll head to the spectacular Las Catedrales Beach, whose main attraction is the series of rock arches sculpted by the force of the Cantabrian Sea, which resemble a Gothic cathedral. Free time for lunch (at the customer’s expense). In the afternoon, visit Mondoñedo, one of the seven capitals of the ancient Kingdom of Galicia, where we can stroll through the cobblestone streets of the old town. Its majestic cathedral, built in the 16th century in the Gothic and Renaissance styles, features a beautiful cloister and an impressive altarpiece. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 5: CERVO - FOZ - BURELA - SOUTO DA RETORTA
Breakfast, followed by a tour of the coast. We’ll take in the panoramic views of the Lugo coastline. Our first stop will be in Cervo, home to the Royal Sargadelos Factories, which include the former steelworks, the Administration Building (now a historical museum), the Old Pottery Factory, and more. We will be able to enter the Museum and the exhibition/sales gallery, and we will take a guided tour of the factory. Next, we will head to the Provincial Museum of the Sea in San Cibrao (admission included), which reflects the seafaring life of the Lugo coast, showcasing its biological and ethnographic richness. We will also visit the Punta Atalaia lighthouse. Free time for lunch (at the customer’s expense). In the afternoon, we will take in a panoramic view of the coastal towns of Foz and Burela. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop at Souto da Retorta, also known as the “Chavín Eucalyptus Grove,” a Natural Monument that preserves native forest species and enormous, centuries-old eucalyptus trees. Arrival at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 6: OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO LUGO
Hotel stay on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner), with the option of a full-day excursion to Lugo with an official guide. We will tour Lugo with an official guide and explore its many attractions, including the Roman wall that surrounds the city—the only one in the world that remains fully intact. Free time for lunch (at the guest’s expense) and to continue exploring the city.
DAY 7: GALICIA - POINT OF DEPARTURE
Breakfast, and at 5:00 a.m. (unless otherwise specified by the on-site representative), departure for the point of origin. Brief stops along the way (lunch at the customer’s expense). Arrival and end of our services.
